Support Engineer- Monitoring & Integration

Position Highlights

Must guarantee service operations and continuous improvement of the scope of IT Core Infrastructure in Data Centers, Cloud and Regions. 

Contribute to application & infrastructure projects, as integrator, assisting on the technical architecture design but also coordinating the full delivery of infrastructure services for projects or solutions including computing, storage, network and security.

Main responsibilities:

•    Build detailed technical designs related to integration & monitoring as a part of complex projects.
•    Responsible for operational availability of all delivered environments.
•    Develop and maintain procedures and working practices for the efficient and effective running of all tasks associated with operating and controlling installed hardware and software.
•    Ensures that appropriate software monitoring tools are used to maintain awareness and control of the hardware and software.
•    Conduct investigations on system performance, make proposals for improvements and implement them when appropriate.
•    Influences design and development of new and changed systems and services to optimize operational efficiency and contributes to definition of associated standards and techniques.
•    Ensure that all main components in the environment are monitored and if not make sure that the proper monitoring will be in place.
•    Facilitate and implement automation whenever is possible.
•    Ensure processes, best practices and golden rules alignment and adoption based on guidelines.
•    Proactively drive opportunity for standardization, simplification and improvement in the environment
•    Provide the proper reports and visibility for the respective application owners & respective environment.
•    Execute Restore activities upon a need.

Main requirements:

•    Minimum 4-5 years’ experience in Data Center & Cloud applications and / or infrastructure integration 
•    Knowledge of Data Center infrastructure technologies (Blades, Middleware, Storage, Backup, Network, Citrix)
•    Experience in Windows Server System Administration
•    Experience in scripting languages PowerShell/Bash/Python/VBScript, etc. 
•    Experience in middleware, application integrations, Web services, Apache, Tomcat, IIS, etc.
•    Experience in API integrations and/or Automation tools Azure Logic Apps, Ansible Tower/Platform, OpCon, Power Automate, SOAP API/REST API/CRUD, etc.
•    Experience and knowledge in Monitoring system solutions (i.e., SolarWinds, Grafana, Prometheus, etc.)
•    Familiarity with DevOps and ITIL processes
•    ITSM experience - (ServiceNow)
