Solution Architect

Position Highlights

The role of a Solution Architect will require a deep understanding in the following technologies LAPP (Linux/Apache/PHP/Postgres), PHP/Web Programming, JSON/API scripting, Visual Basic, Jira/Confluence, Solution Architecture, Network Design, Arxview and will be a pivotal role for our client’s development. 

Main responsibilities:

•    Designing and conceptualizing solution architecture artifacts related to applications – solution replacement experience is a big advantage.
•    Analysis of existing solutions in order to plan migration and translation – Requirements engineering - Identification of functional & non-functional requirements (incl. writing of user stories).
•    Architecture vision, checks & reviews.
•    Architecture advisory for IT systems landscape including hosting scenario, interface design, deployment process and security considerations.
•    Definition and design of target architecture for migration projects or within software development process, operations concept.
•    Integrate security & cloud aspects & architectural considerations

Main requirements:

•    5+ years of professional experience and /or relevant degree in computer science or related area of study.

•    Senior-equivalent Technical Consultant skills regarding designing IT system landscape including but not limited to web application interfaces, deployment, runtime environment & hosting.
•    Experience and exposure to containerization, code refactoring, or generally transforming an application - cloud-ready.
•    Strong knowledge of the following: LAPP (Linux (Suse and Redhat preferably), Apache, PHP, Postgres), Jira/Confluence, Github/Gitlab, JSON/API programming.
•    Experience with setting up CI/CD pipelines & DevOps operations.
•    Background in software development, operations or enterprise architecture management (e.g. application migration, solution architecture design, development of software architecture, experience in cloud migration, etc.).
•    Architecture know-how in multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments.
•    Good English language skills
•    German language will be considered a strong advantage.
