Position Highlights:

The Service Delivery Specialist Linux Cloud Services position’s purpose is to ensure that all IT Services related to support activities for the critical Data Center environment are delivered effectively and efficiently ensuring business continuity. You’ll be a key player in the relationship among all other IT areas and external partners, including projects and applications teams. Being part of the team, the Specialist needs to be flexible and able to adapt itself to the evolution of IT solutions.

Day-to-day activities:

Providing or working in cooperation with peers, higher level of support, and/or vendors to provide Root Cause and permanent fixes for major outages, reoccurring issues, problematic areas, and services (Problem Management)
Monitoring and analyzing performance, implementing measures likely to improve the quality or productivity
Monitoring, controlling, and supporting service delivery; ensuring systems, methodologies, and procedures are in place and followed
Ensuring excellent communication and collaboration between Applications and Infrastructure teams. Taking active participation in joint troubleshooting and supporting activities with the infrastructure (On-Prem) teams for issues spanning between On-Prem and Cloud infrastructure
Monitoring incidents, organizing identification of the root cause, coordinating actions to restore services
Maintaining the escalation list updated for each of the services needed to keep the environment running

Professional Experience:

5+ years of professional experience in Support Function in the Linux environment
Linux distribution (preferred Red Hat, Suse, and Oracle), standalone or clustered
Experience in installing Linux environments manually and automated on physical and virtual environments
Knowledge of Data Center infrastructure technologies (Blades, Middleware, Storage, Backup, Network)
Handling remote troubleshooting equipment and virtual environment
Performing quick health assessment of the product to make sure its critical functionalities are operational
Fluent in English both written and spoken
