Position Highlights
The Service Delivery manager is responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight for all aspects for Application Maintenance and Support, Software Development, Design, Testing and Engineering services.
The responsibility extends across multiple functional areas, internal and outsourced client projects, and diverse teams.
The role will have a strong focus on optimizing the operations for software delivery to existing and future clients.
Main Responsibilities:
• Oversees and improves the software engineering function in developing, releasing, and maintaining software applications.
• Stimulate hiring, career plans, training as well as performance reviews for software engineering team.
• Contribute to the solutioning, planning, and delivery of the service offering roadmaps, working with management as required to ensure achievement of the objectives.
• Interact with clients, product managers, and developers to envision, model and provide initial models and designs that can be built.
• Make high-level design choices and define software coding standards, tools, and platforms.
• Establish agile teams and implement metrics to optimize team delivery and measure business agility in terms of predictability, reliability, and adaptability.
• Work with clients and colleagues to define scope, solutions, define requirements, and assist in developing an executable plan, and identify resource needs, timelines, and costs.
Requirements:
• Showcases minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience in an engineering management capacity.
• Has led transformation projects, worked with clients, and delivered solutions successfully.
• Brings experience in Agile development, software architecture, high-level comprehension of design patterns for scalable and sustainable software development.
• Extensive background leading, designing, developing, and delivering software solutions.
• Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) process and service-oriented architecture (SOA).
• Bachelors in computer science and Engineering.
• MBA or MS in computer science preferred.
