About the role:
The Project Manager manages a project on a day-to-day basis and is the only one with this day-to-day focus on the project, responsible for the end-to-end lead and delivery of the projects, in line with agreed timelines and budget. This will involve taking ownership of project plans, controls, assembling and management of resources, in order to deliver high quality outcomes that exceed customer’s expectations. Furthermore, the Project Manager will work closely with customers, subcontractors, expert resources, third party or internal workforce and key project stakeholders, having interactions at all levels within the organizational hierarchies from the senior management to delivery teams, ensuring projects are executed successfully.
The Project Manager runs the project on behalf of the Project Board within specified constraints and liaises throughout the project with the Project Board and Project Assurance. The Project Manager is responsible for the Project Support and Team Managers. In smaller projects where there are no Team Managers, the Project Manager will manage the Team Members directly, where there is no Project Support, the support tasks fall on the Project Manager, and where there is no Project Risk Manager, the risk management stream of the project will be managed by the Project Manager directly. The Project Manager is a senior level management position responsible for performing difficult and complex work assignments, within multiple management, expert and execution organizational layers, involving independent judgment to determine a course of action consistent with established functional and organization's Project Management policies and goals.
Responsibilities:
- Applying PRINCE2/PMI Project management principles in the activities of the project.
- Successfully managing deploying projects in Akkodis Organization, in line with agreed timelines and budget
- Creating and agreeing realistic and achievable project plans with customers, that clearly define the scope of the undertakings
- Proactively leading, monitoring and controlling projects, to ensure that they are delivered to budget and schedule in Akkodis Organization
- Identifying and managing risks and opportunities associated with each project and work with the management team to mitigate or exploit them
- Ensuring projects are accurately forecasted to allow for accurate financial planning
- Managing change within the project and organization - working to avoid scope creep, executing the needed level of control and communication, building commitment and avoiding resistance to change through applying change management best practices
- Managing relationships and communicating with all project stakeholders
- Preparing and delivering presentations to a wide range of audiences representing project progress and health state against time, budget, quality, scope, risk and benefits.
- Facilitating Project workshops, reviews and discussions with Project Stakeholders
- Taking over the role of Project Risk Manager, Project Support, Team Manager (if they have specialist knowledge) and Change Authority (if permitted by the Project Board) when required.
- Responsible for project governance and accountable for projects delivery
- Works closely with the Client’s Management and collaborates with the Akkodis Senior Management to ensure compliance with the contractual objectives and SLA/KPIs.
Requirements:
- 2 + years of experience on management position is a must
- 2 + years of experience with project management environment is a must
- 2 + years of experience working within multi-disciplinary support teams is a must
- MS Project experience is considered strong advantage
- SharePoint Advanced User experience is considered strong advantage
- Experience with Project Management toolkits is considered strong advantage
- 2 + years of experience with customer communication is a must
- PMI or PRINCE2 Practitioner Certification is a must
- ITIL Foundation Certification is a must
- Extensive ITSM / ITIL framework command is considered strong advantage
- Experience in high-pressure environment is considered strong advantage
- Ability to travel and to accept field assignments on short notice is considered strong advantage.
- Experienced in providing feedback and management of others’ performance.
