As a member of the extended management team in our Delivery Center in Sofia, your role will be to manage the learning needs of all Modis employees.

In this dynamic and challenging role, Modis has seen rapid growth over the last few years and we plan to keep on growing. This means a lot of new employees to train and coach, and a lot of development opportunities for our current ones that would need coaching and development. A lot of people to help stay curious and keep learning. You will be essential to the growth and success of Modis and our team members.


The Learning and Development Manager (LDM) provides management and strategic guidance for the training and development programs and events implemented in Modis Bulgaria. S/he would be responsible for the design and roll-out of the Training and Development strategy, management of the training and development processes with a team of dedicated corporate trainers. The LDM ensures the training and development activities enable the achievement of the company’s business strategy.


  • Lead the learning and development strategy of the company, ensuring business growth and support of the business strategy
  • Develop and implement initiatives that positively impact operational and organizational efficiency
  • Lead organizational effectiveness initiatives, responsible for design, rollout and continuous improvement of leadership development and people development programs
  • Support the implementation of learning management tools and/or systems
  • Manage and develop a team of corporate trainers
  • Establish effective working partnerships with internal customers and management teams
  • Drive continuous improvement to deliver the highest quality


Candidate Profile:


  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to multi-task in a dynamic environment
  • Strong business acumen, proactively identifying business challenges and bringing solutions
  • Knowledge and experience in implementing contemporary approaches to corporate learning solutions
  • At least 5 years of experience in learning and development, with 2 of them in training design and delivery
  • People management experience would be a strong advantage
  • Experience in a matrix organizational structures
  • Experience in implementing and operating with Learning Management Systems would be considered as an advantage
  • University degree
  • Fluent English
