Position Highlights

As an IT Solution Specialist, you are a technical expert for the Directory Services solutions (Active Directory, Azure AD, Office365, PKI) and understand how all pieces work together from end to end. You ensure your solution evolves including enhancement requests, management, and prioritization. From a support standpoint, you ensure support at levels 1 and 2 is properly handled and you deliver level 3 support (incident, problem, and change management). 


Key Role Responsibilities: 


  • Act as primary Level 3 support; incidents, request fulfillment, problems, and changes
  • Manage changes, and new requirements of the solution(s)
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation in support of the solution(s)
  • Make proposals and provide information in order to support decision-making concerning the solution
  • Act as point of technical escalation for Level 2 issues/problems
  • Develop and maintain Level 1 & Level 2 solution documentation


Day-to-day Responsibilities:


  • Solution technical specifications/architecture and fit with application to business needs
  • Provide technical support and guidance to others - if need be: perform some level of software development activities (design, code, build, test) for the following technologies: Active Directory, ADFS, Azure AD, O365, PKI
  • Create and maintain support, design, and architecture documentation, diagrams and communications
  • Ensure the right solutions are in place to monitor the availability and functionality of the environment for optimal performance 
  • Performs assessments on the Office 365, Directory Services environments and implements remediations as well as assuring the stability, security, and scalability of Directory Services environments
  • Ensure support structure is on track collaborating with the Service Delivery Managers (KPIs)
  • Be the point of escalation for all technical service/solution issues involving Directory Services
  • Manage all regional changes/enhancement requests relative to service operations provided by the global solutions.
  • Work with operations, infrastructure teams, and service providers to provide knowledge transfer for day 2 support on newly deployed technologies 
  • Interfaces with the Service Desk and Level 1 & 2 support in order to resolve outstanding issues
  • Develop AD object reporting and data manipulation via standard tools and custom/developed scripts


If you have:


  • 7+ years in planning, designing, deploying, managing/troubleshooting Active Directory on Windows Server (2008, 2012, 2016) systems, Microsoft Office 365, Azure Active Directory and Windows PowerShell 
  • Experience as a Domain Admin in a Global Active Directory environment  
  • Must have experience using Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 as well as knowledge in DNS, LDAP, AD Connect, ADFS, Azure AD, PKI, and Windows clustering 
  • Knowledge of WAN/LAN networks (e.g. routers, switches, VLANs) 
  • Working with and troubleshooting the following technologies – AD Replication and DNS issues via DCDiag & Replmon
  • Thorough understanding and experience of managing all aspects of Active Directory 
  • Proven experience with managing user lifecycle and governance via ADUC and Powershell/scripts
  • Configuring and managing Domain Controllers across a multi-region/site topology 
  • Experience using PowerShell to administer Active Directory, Office 365, Azure AD
  • Preferred knowledge of AD tools - Quest AD Change Auditor, AD Recovery Manager
  • Fluent English both written and spoken mandatory
