Role Specifics:

If you are fluent in Albanian language spoken in Kosovo and eager to demonstrate your local and cultural knowledge about Kosovo in a variety of projects and develop your career in dynamic international teams, learn more about our exciting opportunity.

In this exciting role, you'll:

Analyse geographic and linguistic source data from Kosovo ensuring accuracy and relevance
Review and provide feedback on geographic data and correct navigation data in Kosovo
Recommend and implement cartographic improvements based on the local markets enhancing user experience
Improvе large datasets together with an international team
Research "Points of interest" in local areas
Label training data for machine learning of an address parser
Review and correct pronunciation of street and place names, and provide suggestions for improvement
Act as a local expert to provide guidance and advice to various teams on locally specific characteristics related to geography, road laws or languages

Requirements:

In-depth local and cultural knowledge about Kosovo and residence in the country for a minimum of 5 years
1-3 years of professional experience in Translation, Journalism, Content Creation, Tourism, Geography, Cartography, or similar
Excellent written and communication skills in Albanian spoken in Kosovo (Grammar, Orthography, Dialects)
Professional proficiency in English
High attention to detail, strong knowledge of database search and data analysis
Research, analytical, and organizational skills
Confident user of word processing and spreadsheet software such as MS Word and MS Excel
A degree in Linguistics or other language discipline will be considered an advantage
Experience with macOS will be considered an advantage
