Cloud DevOps Engineer

Position Highlights

The Cloud DevOps engineer must have a very deep understanding of various development tools and technologies. This is a hands-on technical role but with a high degree of collaboration to drive cultural change and raise the maturity levels of the Continuous Delivery practices. Own Continuous Delivery specifications, quality, release deployments and monitoring of production health. Enable developers to ship high quality products and features with an end-to-end mindset from conception to delivery and production support.

The Cloud DevOps Engineer is responsible for the automation and configuration management of the business’s servers and provides stable environments for delivery of quality. The Cloud DevOps Engineer is responsible for the automation of all manual tasks for the building and deployment of both code and data to enable continuous integration and continuous deployment frameworks

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop tools and infrastructure to deploy, monitor and manage production services and products used by all of Product Engineering.
• Ensure delivered solutions are optimized for ease-of-use, reusability, and scalability.
• Ensure implementations and development activities always engineer towards enriching knowledge base documentation, including capturing design details, usage, maintenance, configuration, and deployment notes.
• Work with cross-functional development teams.
• Demonstrate expertise with architecting, managing, deploying, and operating production infrastructure within an AWS/Azure/GCP cloud environment
• Demonstrate ability to design and implement automation solutions / distributed applications / API with Python.
• Demonstrate expertise with Infrastructure as Code tools, preferably CDK Cloud Formation, CDK-Terraform. 
• Program in Python, in the CDK framework, to generate Infrastructure as Code (Cloud Formation).
• Program in Python the backend management engine, that orchestrates the Tenant infrastructure on AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Use extensively AWS Step Functions and serverless to deal with the lifecycle of Lambdas deploying.
• Program in Python a Frontend API (using AWS Lambda, API Gateway and Step Functions) that interacts with requests from other teams.
• Rely heavily on git and git workflows, to approve code Pull Requests; everything is versioned and peer reviewed.
• Design, create, implement and maintain several CI/CD pipelines.

Key Skills:

• Cross-functional experience in dealing with customers, products, outsourcing solutions, 
• Experience in designing and delivering shared service platforms for IT Infrastructure Outsourcing organisations.
• Career experience in a technical design and/or operational role.
• Proven experience in programming with Python is a must. Other developer languages are preferable.
• Experience with Serverless technologies and managing Lambda functions.
• Experience with Infrastructure Service as Code tools, preferably CDK-CloudFormation, CDK-Terraform.
• Experience in AWS Step Functions is a plus.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Degree-level qualification in an I.T. discipline.
• Associate or higher level of AWS/Azure/GCP certifications is a plus.
