Cloud Architect

Main Responsibilities:

• Cloud Strategy Development: Define and implement the cloud strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives
• Architecture Design: Design and architect scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions using platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Migration Planning: Lead the planning and execution of cloud migration projects, including assessing existing infrastructure and applications for cloud readiness
• Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in cloud environments
• Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud solutions into existing systems and processes
• Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize cloud performance, ensuring high availability and reliability of applications and services
• Documentation and Training: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud architecture, processes, and best practices. Provide training and support to teams on cloud technologies

Required Skills:

• Senior-equivalent Technical Consultant skills regarding designing IT system landscape including but not limited to web application interfaces, deployment, runtime environment & hosting
• Experience and exposure to containerization, code refactoring, or generally transforming an application - cloud-ready
• Scality Artesca + RING, Linux (RHEL), Cloud Architecture knowledge (internal cloud within HPE), general cloud knowledge required
• Good English language skills
• German language is a strong advantage

Required Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in cloud architecture or a similar role, with a strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and technologies
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their services
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
• Strong knowledge of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable
